Villa Terrazza features Vlaze in their Sonoma showroom because of Vlaze's dedication to manufacturing quality, and the durable porcelain enamel finishes on their outdoor modular furniture, which stands the test of time and the variables of outdoor weather. Vlaze's exceptional porcelain finish is created by fusing powdered glass to steel at temperatures in excess of 800°C. The result is a luxurious, vibrant glaze that does not crack or discolor, is heat and chemical resistant, and is available in a wide range of opaque colors with a pattern or light texture.
Vlaze is British-made in their workshops on the Isle of Wight. The Vlaze factory manufactures much of the iconic signage for The London Underground and the Paris Metro. The entire range of Vlaze products from outdoor kitchen cabinetry to grills and more are sustainably made, fully recyclable, and manufactured to be able to be repaired.
Vlaze was founded in 1972 by Alfred J. Wells and two of his sons, at that time they specialized in tractor and machinery repairs. In the 1970s with the oil crisis in the UK, Vlaze was led to produce small woodburning stoves as an alternative way to help people heat their homes. In the 1980s the Charnwood range of stoves continued to grow and was sold across the UK. In 1990 they brought the porcelain enamel process in-house that their outdoor kitchen cabinets and outdoor kitchen appliances are known for today.

Vlaze in the 1990s and early 2000s expanded its woodburning stove line and began producing signage for well-known landmarks in the UK, France, and beyond. In 2009 Vlaze was honored with the Queen's Awards for Enterprise: International Trade and further expanded their porcelain enamel art pieces throughout the UK.
By 2014 Vlaze had a new brand focusing on porcelain enamel for the indoor living environment with fireplace panels and heatshields for stove surrounds in collaboration with Charnwood. In 2015 Vlaze expanded its line of porcelain enamel outdoor and indoor porcelain enamel products to include commissions for restaurants, hotels, and residential projects with a range of designers and architects well-known in the UK and beyond.
As of 2020 Vlaze had years of perfecting their high-heat porcelain enamel line and created the line you will see in our showroom at Villa Terrazza. The Vlaze Adapt range of indoor and outdoor modular kitchens was launched across the globe in the UK, USA, and Italy.
Vlaze ADAPT is a new, innovative range of modular and free-standing kitchen units that can be moved freely from indoors to outside. Designed for outdoor living these mobile units offer the perfect solution for food preparation, garden storage, and al fresco dining.
