Villa Terrazza Is Your Gas & Wood Heating Expert

The hearth truly defines the center of the home. There is something remarkable about the warm glow of radiant heat that a fire gives to a room. It keeps you warm when it's nasty and cold outside, and it beautifully reminds you that you’re home - safe from the elements!

From a hearth terminology standpoint, there are a few types of fire-based heating and/or decorative heating choices you may choose from:

  • Gas Fireplaces – Nothing changes a boring wall into a great focal point like a gas fireplace! Regency manufactured gas fireplaces can be installed in as little as a day or two and provide a heat source that warms you from across the room, as well as providing an opportunity for a design element that anchors the space. There’s nothing quite like basking in the warm glow of a beautiful fire. Regency manufactured gas fireplaces come in a wide variety of styles and sizes – from traditional shapes to contemporary linear models. Sometimes manufactured fireplaces are also called ‘zero-clearance’ fireplaces, because typically 2X4 stud walls can safely be placed in close proximity to the unit. A new fireplace can be placed on any wall, or even floated in the center of a room.
  • Gas Fireplace Inserts – Are No-Burn days preventing you from enjoying a roaring fire? Tired of hauling dirty loads of firewood through the house? Maybe its time to upgrade to a modern, efficient gas fireplace insert! Instead of making a fire – turn one on! Frequently, folks come to us looking for a way to get away from the mess and drudgery of burning wood in their fireplaces, yet still have that warm glow only a fire can provide. The solution might be a Regency gas fireplace insert! These are essentially a sealed gas fireplace system that ‘inserts’ inside of your existing wood-burning fireplace and provides lots of heat for the room and a beautiful, very realistic fire behind glass.
  • Gas Heating Stoves – Frequently, folks come to us looking a way to warm a small space or a way to add ambiance to a vacation rental or a seldom-used room. A Regency gas stove just might be the answer! Today’s gas stoves are efficient little heaters and can be controlled via a remote control or a wall thermostat. Regency gas heating stoves are available in many styles and combine all the features of a modern Direct-vent fireplace into a free-standing stove – Just add power, a gas line, and a flue pipe and you’ve got all you need to be cozy and warm.

Fireplaces, Inserts, & Stoves Come In Many Different Syles
to Meet Your Heating Requirements

Just as there are options for heating with gas there are heating options for wood fuel also. At Villa Terrazza we recommend gas fueled fireplaces, fireplace inserts, and heating stoves whenever possible becasue they are environmentally cleaner and less work for you. But many people still love a wood fire and so we do have some great wood fueled heating options at Villa Terrazza:

  • Wood Fireplaces – A Regency wood fireplace comes in two varieties; masonry–constructed out of non-combustible masonry-bricks, stones, cement block, or poured concrete and typically built by a mason or contractor. The second type of Regency wood fireplace is a Zero Clearance-‘Manufactured’ Fireplace; a sheet metal box mounted into a stick-framed wall. ‘Zero Clearance’ means that wood studs can be very close to the sides and rear of the firebox exterior. The fireplace opening can be completely enclosed by surround material. A Zero-Clearance Regency wood fireplace can be installed where there was no fireplace before. Easy to be worked inexpensively into a remodel.

  • Wood Fireplace Inserts – A Regency wood fireplace insert is exactly what it says – it ‘inserts’ into your existing fireplace. Regency wood fireplace inserts can be installed into either a masonry fireplace or a zero-clearance fireplace. Therefore, the size of the fireplace’s opening is a critical to determining which unit can be fit into the firebox. Regency wood fireplace inserts can be a great way to keep your family room cozy and warm, and your pets will love you for it as they sleep in front of its warm glow. With a gas or wood burning insert, everything is predicated on the size of your existing fireplace’s opening. Knowing the size of your opening helps us determine the best unit to fit your existing fireplace.

  • Wood Stoves – A Regency wood stove is a free-standing heater than can heat a room or your home. Adding a wood stove to your home is an effective way to add unmatched heating capacity that can only be offered by a freestanding wood burning stove. With Regency’s highly efficient EPA certified wood stoves you can save money on heating by burning less wood throughout the year and turning down your central heating. Regency offers both non-catalytic wood stoves and catalytic stoves for exceptional efficiency and long burn times.
